KWD Industrial Couplings

All steel couplings of the type GMK are torsionally stiff and bending flexible couplings; all coupling parts are made of high quality steel. The torque range and the wide variety of types guarantee a wide range of applications for many industrial purposes. At correct application and assembly they are free of wear with a high service life; usable for ambient temperatures up to 250 °C.

• Single element design (SE) compensates axial and angular shaft displacement; double element design (DE) additionally compensates radial shaft displacements

Types and performance

• Types: GMK 4 DE, GMK 6 SE, GMK 6 DE, GMK 6 DE-II, GMK 6 DE-IIG, GMK 4 DE-K

• Torques: low torques up to 630 Nm (GMK 4); medium to high torques up to 100,000 Nm (GMK 6)

• Speeds: up to 20,000 rpm (GMK 4); medium to high speeds up to 6,700 rpm (GMK 6)

• Features: axial and angular displacement ability (SE); axial, angular and radial displacement ability (DE); variable spacer length; radially removable spacer; for short and shortest distances between shaft ends; for vertical installation; backlash-free shaft/hub connection (clamping unit or shrink disk); with device for limiting axial play; spacer and flexible elements mounted as a unit (standard or on request)

Selection and alignment

• The coupling must be selected in accordance with DIN 740 part 2

• Permissible shaft displacements (axial, angular, radial) must be observed; alignment per the manufacturer's instructions

• All steel couplings are generally delivered without balancing; higher balance qualities on request

Typical applications

Pumping stations and pipeline systems, general industrial drives, and drive trains combined with BOKU-N / TK-N couplings.
