Application of OMS4 Optical Sensor in Rail Vehicles
1、 Background
The development of China's rail transit system from the initial tram to modern high-speed railways and subway systems demonstrates China's rapid development and technological progress in the field of rail transit. The development process of China's rail transit, from trams in the early 20th century to high-speed railways and subway networks in the 21st century, not only reflects technological progress, but also the support of national policies and the improvement of people's living standards.
The country has specially formulated the relevant standard specification GB/T 14894-2005 "Inspection and Testing Rules for Assembled Urban Rail Transit Vehicles" to safeguard the rail transit system. The update of standards can enhance the standardization of testing, unify the inspection and testing methods and requirements for the same or similar projects of various vehicle models, effectively verify vehicle performance and assembled vehicle quality, reduce personnel and property losses in the later stage, and improve the quality of urban rail transit vehicle operation services.
The standard provides the following regulations for the braking distance test method of rail vehicles:
2、 Test plan
Regarding the braking performance testing method in the national standard GB/T 14984-2005, combined with the operating environment of our rail vehicles, such as shuttling between cities and being affected by high-rise buildings and tunnels, it is not possible to achieve various measurements through GPS testing. Therefore, we provide a train performance testing scheme based on optical speed sensors, which mainly includes optical speed sensors and Dewei Chuang NEX DAQ data acquisition:
(1) Dewetron NEX DAQ data acquisition system: 8-channel analog input channel, 2-channel CAN/CAN-FD input, 200 KS/s sampling rate, professional Oxygen software testing package.
(2) OMS4 optical sensor: 1000Hz sampling rate, precise speed measurement, integrated IMU module, suitable for various test road surfaces, asphalt, gravel, moisture, snow, etc.
The OMS4 optical sensor is combined with the Dewetron NEX DAQ data acquisition system to measure all braking signals, such as braking distance, through a professional Oxygen application MFDD、 The triggering time of braking can be displayed online, generating charts, and automatically generating test reports after measurement.
III. Conclusion
For rail transit vehicles such as high-speed trains, intercity trains, and subways, the complexity of their operating environment, such as uneven road surfaces, multiple high-rise buildings and tunnels during operation, and the inability to use GPS testing, is not conducive to the performance testing of rail transit vehicles. By using OMS4 optical speed sensors, train speed, acceleration, and vehicle attitude data can be accurately measured on slippery, sandy, and even snowy roads. Combined with NEX DAQ data acquisition and analysis software, it is very suitable for various performance tests of rail transit vehicles in China.
